Founder of Rock Church slams dooms day talk about December polls

The Founder and Leader of the Christ Rock Church at Afari in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District in Ashanti Region, has noted that the December 7 general poll has no potential to wreck havoc in the country.

Apostle Elijah Akwasi Botwe said there was no basis for the people to become nervous about the Presidential and Parliamentary elections since God would see the country through peacefully.

Preaching at the end of a 30-day prayer and fasting session of the church, he predicted that the elections would pass off peacefully.

“By God’s grace we will continue to stay united. We will not be torn apart. Our dear nation will not disintegrate”, he said to a loud applause from the large congregation.

Apostle Botwe appealed to the leadership of the political parties to act responsibly and do everything to prevent their supporters from creating tension and acrimony.

He said it was important for politicians to put the nation ahead of personal interest, comfort or convenience.

He also invited the citizenry to pray unceasingly for God’s continued blessings on the country.
