Brekuso launches five-year development plan

The chiefs and people of Brekuso in the Akuapem South Municipality at the weekend launched a five-year development plan during the celebration of the Ohum Festival at Brekuso.

Odeefoo Oteng Korankye II, Chief of Brekuso and the Twafohene of Akuapem Anaafo, said projects envisaged in the plan included the construction of a senior high school, a community centre, ICT centre, a library and a hospital estimated at GH¢500,000.

Odeefoo Oteng said the projects would be executed through an educational fund launched during the celebration of the last year’s Ohum festival with voluntary contributions from citizens both home and abroad.

He commended Dr Awuah, president of Ashesi University, and his wife, for building a classroom block and an ICT centre for the school children of the area.

Mr Osei B. Amoah, the Aburi-Nsawam Member of Parliament, appealed to parents to send their wards to school and donated an amount of GH¢2,000 to support the project
