Government urged to solve perennial flooding at TARSCO

Madam Paulina Akosua Manu, the Headmistress of Tarkwa Senior High School, has appealed to the government to construct a new drainage system to solve perennial flooding in the school.

She said a culvert on the main Tarkwa/Takoradi high way had been diverted to the school and causes flooding whenever it rains.

The headmistress made the appeal during the celebration of the school’s 60th anniversary.

The theme for the celebration was “Developing human resources through quality Senior High School”.

Mad Manu said this problem affected classes and therefore said government need to construct bigger drainage system to replace the deplorable onee which cannot contain heavy flow of water whenever it rains.

The Western regional Minister Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo, said in a speech read on his behalf that the Ministry of Education was aware of the infrastructural challenges facing the school.

Mrs. Gift Kusi, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tarkwa Nsueam, appealed to parents to invest in the education of their children.
