Man remanded for four-year oldâ??s fall

A trader whose alleged negligence led to the fall of a four-year child from a two storey building has been ordered by a Kumasi Circuit Court to be held in prison remand.

Dauda Ayaraga’s plea was not taken and he would be brought back on March 16.

The seriously injured child has been admitted at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

Police Inspector Gulliver Tenkorang told the court presided over by Justice William Boampong that the victim together with the parents and the accused live in the same house at Bremang in Kumasi.

Dauda picked up the child ostensibly to play with him on March 4, at about 1600 hours.

Through his alleged negligence, the child fell from the last floor of the two storey building, injuring himself.
