Ghana Armed Forces to hold open Day

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF)s to hold an open day on March 7 as part of activities to mark the nation’s 55th Independence Day Anniversary in all military garrisons throughout the country and the Jungle Warfare School.

A statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel E. Aggrey-Quashie for the GAF Director of Public Relations to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said activities for the day would include Photo Exhibitions, Demonstrations and Equipment Displays, briefings, Horseback riding, Air and Sea experiences, as well as fun games.

The garrisons to participate in the open day activities include the Naval Base, Tema; First Infantry Battalion, Michel Camp; Sekondi Naval Base; Second Infantry Battalion, Myohaung Barracks, Takoradi; Air Force Base, Takoradi; and Third Infantry Battalion, Liberation Barracks, Sunyani.

Others are fourth Infantry Battalion, Uadarra Barracks Kumasi; fifth Infantry Battalion, Arankan Barracks Accra; Support Services Brigade Headquaters, Accra; Military Academy and Training Schools, Teshie; and 66 Artillery Regiment, Volta Barracks, Ho.

The rest are Recce Regiment, Gonda Barracks, Accra; Accra Air Force Base; Sixth Infantry Battalion, Kamina Barracks, Tamale; Air forne Force, Bawa Barracks, Tamale; and the Tamale Air Force Base.
