GBC has never received any payment from Woyome – Management

Accra, Feb. 11, GNA – The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) on Friday said it had never received any payment from Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome, a businessman at the centre of a controversial judgment debt pay out.

“The management of GBC wishes to inform the public that it has never received any such payment from Mr Woyome.

“The public should therefore, treat the allegation as misleading and must be disregarded.”

A statement issued in Accra by Ms Doris A. Kuwornu, Director of Corporate Affairs, GBC, said, “The attention of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) has been drawn to publications in several print and electronic media of allegations made by Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, Member of Parliament for Assin North, that Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome made payment of the sum of GH¢ 5,000,000.00 to GBC”.

“However, if any member of the public has information or documentation regarding the said money, we would be grateful if it could be made available to the Corporation or emailed to [email protected].

“We shall continue to serve the public as mandated by law,” the statement added.
