Congolese arrested with narcotic

Aflao (V/R), Jan. 17, GNA – Hermann Armoud Dibakala, a Congolese, traveling from Benin to Accra was arrested by the customs officials at Aflao with crack, a suspected cocaine-based substance.

The pink coloured powdered substance weighing 2.4 kilograms tested positive for crack during preliminary testing at the Aflao Customs laboratory.

Mr David Atta, Chief Collector of Customs Preventive, told the press that the suspect aged 26, a student of Wintech University Institute in Accra arrived at Aflao on board a Lagos-Accra bound bus at about 1500 hours on Monday.

He said the suspect explained that the substance, given to him by somebody in Benin to be delivered to recipient in Accra, was for spiritual purposes.

Dibakala has been handed over to Narcotic Control officials for further investigations.
