Let’s rise above pettiness and vilification

Obogu (Ash), Jan 13, GNA – Mr De-graft Forkuo, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asante-Akim South, has urged his fellow politicians to rise above pettiness and vilification as they struggled for the mandate to lead the nation.

They should accept to play it fair and display a high level of maturity and tolerance.

The DCE was addressing the 83rd annual convention of the Ashanti/Central branch of the Salvation Army Church at Obogu near Juaso.

“Fight for the right” was the theme for this year’s event.

Mr Forkuo said it was important for the political parties and their supporters to avoid acts that could trigger off confusion and threaten national unity and stability.

The interest of the nation should be put ahead of selfish political ambition, he added.’
