.Anfoega Deserves District Capital

By Newman Dotse

Members of Volta Youth For Total Action have for the first time expressed their satisfaction at the siting of the new North Danyi District capital at Anfoega despite the objection raised by the people of Vakpo.

This was disclosed in Kpando by Mr. Lawrence Kofi Deditey, the leader of Volta Youth For Total Action in an interview with The Citizen Newspaper, Ghana’s Most Trusted Newspaper.

They say even though they are not happy with the way and a manner Professor Mills and the people around him are handling the internal wrangling in the NDC party; at least, for the first time, they are happy that President Mills and his men have taken a good decision by making Anfoega the new North Danyi District Capital, something that has eluded Anfoega for years.

They are, therefore asking the President to remain resolute and should not be moved by the demonstration staged by the people of Vakpo in protest at the location of the District Capital of the newly created North Danyi District.
According to them, they have nothing against the people of Vakpo with regard to their agitation over the siting of the new District Capital because they have the right to make their opinion known.

They say Anfoega is better placed for the new District Capital because of its size and economic activities; hence the President and his men were right in making Anfoega the District capital.
