25 roads to be constructed in Eastern Region

Koforidua, Jan. 10, GNA-The Eastern Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), has explained that under the 2012 budget, the Government has given approval for the reconstruction of 25 major roads in the Region.

The RCC said the roads were not meant for the Birim South District alone as contained in a Ghana News Agency (GNA) story, which was captured in the Ghanaian Times of January 04, this year, under the heading “25 Birim South roads to be reconstructed”.

Speaking to the GNA in Koforidua, the Public Relations Officer of the RCC, Mr Prosper Fetor-Tsormana, described the story as a misquotation, and emphasised that the 25 roads were earmarked for various parts of the entire Region.
