130 arrested over attacks at Kwame Danso

About 130 people have been rounded up by the police in Kwame-Danso, the Sene District capital.

The arrest is in connection with an attack on a local police station by an irate mob resulting in two deaths.

The Brong-Ahafo Regional Deputy Crime Officer, ASP Saviour Hameize, who disclosed this to the media said those in custody include 19 individuals who are suspected to be members of Dwan Youth Association and are alleged to be deeply involved in the unrest.

ASP Hameize was briefing the Brong-Ahafo Regional Security Council (REGSEC) on arrival at Kwame-Danso on Friday to assess the situation.

A curfew from 6 p. m. to 6 a. m. has been imposed on Kwame-Danso and its environs.
