Afram Plains North NDC executives protest

DonkorKrom (ER), Jan. 05 GNA-Some branch executives and polling station chairmen of the Afram Plains North Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have protested against the candidature of two contestants of the Parliamentary seat for the area.

The executives claimed that Madam Betty Krossby and Dr Antony Nsoh Akunzule were not qualified by the NDC constitution to stand as Parliamentary candidates.

They had therefore petitioned the constituency chairman with copies to both Regional and National Chairmen of the Party and the Eastern Regional Minister, to look into their grievances.

The petition, which was signed by 16 of the executives indicated that by the party’s constitution, anyone who wanted to contest as a Member of Parliament (MP), must stay or work with the party in the area for at least two years and above.
