Herbalist in court for alleged defilement

Accra, Jan. 5, GNA – Sylvanus Gomado, a herbalist on Thursday appeared before an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old pupil.

The victim had consulted Gomado aged 25, for rituals for retentive memory but the accused took advantage of her.

Charged with defilement, the court presided over Mrs Justice Georgina Mensah-Datsa did not take Gomado’s plea.

The court has therefore remanded Gomado into Police custody to reappear on January 9 as the case was still under investigations.
