Christians commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ

Accra, Dec 25, GNA – There was bliss amidst drumming, singing and dancing at the Seraphim Evangelical Presbyterian Church to mark the birth of Jesus Christ, at Kaneshie in Accra, on Sunday.

The congregation sang joyful hymns and danced to the glory of God.
Reverend Moses Faith Nyomi-Nyamadi, Resident Pastor, in a Christmas message on the theme: “Come Lets Adore Him, Peace”, said it is a privilege for Christians to worship Christ, which brings peace to mankind.
He said Christmas was celebrated to commemorate the birth of Christ Jesus, who is the prince of peace.
Rev Nyomi-Nyamadi called on politicians to be agents of peace and development , since Christ stood for peace.
“When peace is giving a chance the citizenry will live in a secure environment,” he added.
On the forthcoming general election, he urged Ghanaians to know that “God is the supreme ruler and he installs kings and rulers at his own time therefore whoever wins is the will of God.
He called on the citizenry to be civil in whatever they do and to be tolerant towards each other, in unity and in harmony for the development of the nation.
He said they should not allow themselves to be corrupted before and during the 2012 elections.
Rev Nyomi-Nyamadi cautioned political parties not to attempt to buy votes and rather allow the electorate to exercise their franchise freely..
