Security services step up the fight against illegal miners

Kumasi, Dec 21, GNA – Fifty-two (52) illegal miners have been arrested in a joint Military/Police operation at Tetrem and Aboabo in the Amansie West District.

A press release signed by Warrant Officer Class One Bright Segbefia, acting Northern Command Public Relations Officer, in Kumasi, said equipment including special mills and water pumps were also seized.

It warned that the crackdown would continue.
