Farmer in court for defiling girl, 13

Akim Oda (E/R), Dec. 10, GNA – Ebenezer Yankson, a farmer, who allegedly defiled a 13-year-old pupil at a village near Akim Wenchi in the Eastern Region, has been admitted to GHc3,000 bail with one surety, by the Akim Swedru Circuit Court.

The 18-year-old farmer denied knowledge of the offence and would reappear on December 14.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Adelaide Appiakorang told the court that the complainant is the father of the victim and lives at a village called Kwabena Oduro with the accused person.

The prosecutor said the court, presided over by Mr. Yaw Attah Sampong, heard that on August 5, this year around 1930 hours the girl left home to watch video in a nearby house when she met Yankson on the way.
