Western Region NDC conducts peaceful parliamentary primaries

Takoradi, Nov. 27, GNA -Twenty-six candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) contested last Saturday’s parliamentary primaries for nine constituencies that do not have sitting members of parliament in the Western Region.

At Effia-Kwesimintsim Mr Francis Kassim Apuri won the contest with 153 votes to defeat the favourite candidate, Mr. Mohammed Ali, who had 114 votes whilst Rev. Samuel Nyarko placed distance third.
