Israeli loan for new teaching hospital in Legon

Government has secured a $ 357m Israeli loan to build a new teaching hospital in Legon for the college of Health Sciences of the University of Ghana.

The Hospital will have a 600 bed capacity and will be built by Israeli contractors.

The provost of the College of Health Sciences, Prof Aaron Lawson, who announced this at the launch of the 50th anniversary of the University of Ghana Medical School, said the new facility forms part of measures to relocate the Korle Bu Campus of the College of Health Sciences to Legon.
