Family Of Seven Dead From Suspected Food Poisoning

Information reaching Peacefmonline.com indicates that seven people are dead in Serube, a town near Buipe in the Northern Region allegedly after eating beans.

The victims, a man and his entire household, his two wives and four children, two boys and two girls all died after eating beans which is suspected to be poisonous. The youngest child is about four years old.

According to Peace FM reporter, Kwabena Ntow, the family started experiencing some discomfort with foam oozing from the victims mouth immediately after eating the food and was rushed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital but died on the way.

The family requested for the bodies to bury this morning according to the Muslim tradition but the doctors refused their request, insisting on conducting an autopsy to verify if they had actually died from poison or other things which sent them to their early graves

Two other people who also took the same food are however reported to have survived the poison and is receiving emergency treatment at the Tamale Teaching Hospital
