Yacub Addy & Odadaa! appear as guest artists in PBS simulcast of “Wynton Marsalis at 50”

Ghanaian drum master Yacub Addy and his ensemble Odadaa! appear as guest artists in a PBS on-line simulcast of “Wynton Marsalis at 50”. Odadaa! plays two pieces from “Congo Square” (Addy’s large co-composition with Marsalis) with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra to open and close the second half of the program.

Other guest artists include tap dancer Jared Grimes, vocalist Gregory Porter, pianist Marcus Roberts, violinist Marc O’Connor, and Damien Sneed and Chorale Le Chateau.

The broadcast can be viewed live at 8 pm on Thursday Oct 13 and will be available on line for one week.
