NDC leadership asked to work with former President Rawlings

Kumasi, Oct 3, GNA – The National Democratic Congress (NDC) leadership has been asked to involve former President Jerry John Rawlings and his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings in the party’s activities.

Mr Joseph Boarle Salifu, NDC Asawasi Constituency Secretary, made the call in an interview with Ghana News Agency in Kumasi on Sunday.

He said the party needed the criticism, experience and advice of former President Rawlings and Nana Konadu to help shape rough edges in the party ahead of Election 2012.

Mr Salifu tasked the leadership to unite party members and supporters for victory in Election 2012.

He stressed that it behoved NDC leadership to work consciously and bring on board all factions in the party.

Mr Salifu said the constituency executives had formed campaign committees to sensitize the people at the grass roots on the success story of the NDC.

He commended Alhaji Mohammmed Muntaka Mubarak, Member of Parliament for Asawasi, for contributing to the development of the area.
