Ofosu-Ampofo to contest NDC Tema West primaries

Tema, Sep 28, GNA – Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, has filed nomination forms to contest the NDC Tema West Constituency parliamentary primaries for Election 2012.

Mr Benjamin Djakumah, NDC Tema West Constituency Chairman, made this known to Ghana News Agency in an interview in Tema on Tuesday.

The NDC Constituency Chairman said Mr James Aning, legal practitioner, Mr George Medie, contractor, Mr Richard Fiadomor, former Constituency Secretary and Mrs Gladys Boateng, former NDC Member of Parliament, have also filed nomination forms to contest the primaries.

Mr Djakumah said the contest would be organised by October 15.

He asked the aspirants to adhere to laid down rules and regulations of the party and conduct their campaigns peacefully.
