NGO plants trees at Obonu FM

Tema, Sept. 24, GNA – Members of The Perfect Example Environmental Foundation (PEEF), a Tema-based environmental Non-Governmental Organisation, (NGO) has planted some trees on the premises of Obonu FM at Community One, Tema.

Assisted by some pupils from Perfect Basic School in Community One, members of the NGO planted more than 40 seedlings of selected species, including Termilla, Bauhimia, Oven Flower, Memo Soap and Mango Trees.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency during the exercise, Mr Charles Aboagye, Chief Executive Officer of the NGO, said trees were a source of peace and life.

He, therefore, urged the public to desist from the indiscriminate cutting down of tress because by so doing we would be doing a great disservice to future generations.

Mr Aboagye reminded Ghanaians about the need to coexist peacefully and resolve to plant more trees to green and protect the environment.
