Let’s live according to the bible – Adjei

Nkoranza (B/A), Sept. 03, GNA – Mr Samuel Adjei, a preacher of the Nkoranza circuit of the Methodist Church has urged Christians to let their social lives and activities reflect the teachings they receive from the Holy Bible.

Mr Adjei was addressing members of the Women’s Fellowship of the Church at a one day retreat at the Wesley Methodist Chapel in Nkoranza.

The retreat was aimed at sharing views about the importance of prayers so that members of the fellowship would not feel reluctant to communicate with God through prayers.

Mr Adjei said it was important for Christian women to ensure unity, peace and understanding at home for others to emulate.

He deplored the attitude of some Christian women who harass their husbands, maltreat their house-helps and engage in other negative practices but behave innocently in the church, saying such behavior was not religious and must be stopped.

Mr Adjei said it was through prayers that Christians can overcome temptations in life and advised members of the fellowship to remain focused and committed in their prayers.

Madam Margaret Ankoma Mansah, Wenchi Methodist Diocesan Women’s Fellowship Treasurer, advised her counterparts not to lose hope when requests in prayers were not forthcoming because “God has time for every person in life”.

The Superintendent Minister of the Nkoranza Methodist Church, Very Reverend John Quayson, commended members of the fellowship for their support in diverse ways towards the growth of the circuit.
