Ten trainees of NFED pass out

Twifo Praso (C/R), Aug. 27, GNA – Mr Joseph Foster Andoh, District Chief Executive of Twifo-Hemang-Lower Denkyira, has appealed to graduands of the Non Formal Education Division (NFED) of the Ministry of Education to improve their living conditions with the training they had undergone.

Addressing a passing out parade of 10 gradaunds of the NFED after six months of training in bakery at Twifo Praso in the Central Region, Mr Andoh encouraged them to act as trainer of trainers for others in the area.

He appealed to financial institutions within the district to lend money to those who were interested in expanding their vocational works.

Mr Andoh said the government had come out with more modules under the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP) and urged the youth to take advantage of the programmes to enhance their skills.

Mr Francis Hamenu, Director of NFED, in his welcoming address, said the NFED was not an integral part of any political party and that it was meant to help the less fortunate to acquire basic skills to enable them to contribute their quota to the development of their areas.

Mrs Elizabeth Amoah-Tetteh, Member of Parliament for Twifo Atti-Morkwa Constituency, used part of her share of the common fund to support the training programme.
