GTV coverage not reaching Northern Volta

Hohoe (V/R), Aug. 17, GNA – Residents of Hohoe and the northern part of the Volta Region have been denied the services of GTV for more than one-and-a-half months.

The last time the people received GTV signals was three days to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) congress in Sunyani in July and have since been left in the dark.

Mr Hannock Adzoxonu, Chairman of the Ve-Deme West branch of the NDC said the people were disgusted about the situation because they cannot view government programmes and other national activities.

Some people the Ghana News Agency spoke to asked GTV to keep faith with them.

They said when President John Evans Atta Mills met with editors early this year at the Osu Castle the whole programme was poorly telecasted.

Also when the GTV gave nationwide coverage to the National Farmers Day last year December, the programme was badly transmitted in the region.
