Three women killed in accident

Samenye (W/R), Aug. 12, GNA – Three women were killed on the spot when a taxi cab on which they travelling collided with an articulated truck near Samenye on Wednesday.

According to Mpataba Police, the taxi was returning from the Elubo in the Jomoro District market to Aiyinase on Wednesday when the accident.

The police said the accident occurred when the taxi was overtaking another vehicle.

The driver of the taxi whose name was not immediately known received serious injuries and is on admission at the Eikwe Catholic Hospital.

The unidentified bodies of women have been deposited at the mortuary of the Half Assini Government Hospital.
