Top Indian Military In For Research

Accra, June 23, – A 12-member study group from the Indian National Defence College led by Major General P. K. Puri, arrived in Accra today to conduct an in-depth assessment of the political and socio-economic situation in Ghana. The college based in Delhi, every year brings together senior civilian and military officers around the world to undertake a study of the political and socio-economic situations in selected countries. They will interact with senior administrative officers, the police, civil servants, military officers and other government organisations. The course involves the study of national and international politics, international relations and strategies, national development including education, health and employment which affects the security of any country. The team will be in the country for five days. Ghana has been taking part in the activities of the college since 1975 and its alumni include three former chiefs of defence staff, two former air force commanders and two chiefs of naval staff. They were met on arrival by Brigadier Kwame Agbemasu, Commandant of the Ghana Armed Forces Staff College.
