Take us to court – Newspaper to Akufo Addo

AKUFO ADDO’S WEE MATTER: ASANTE BEDIATUO SHOULD DRAG US TO COURT

By mid-afternoon last Friday, July 22, 2011, Nana Asante-Bediatuo, who claims to be a lawyer for Nana Akufo-Addo, had made it abundantly clear that he and other lawyers were considering taking legal action against us for asserting that the NPP’s flagbearer was the high profile politician nabbed at the JFK Airport in 2006 for possessing a quantity of wee and claiming it is for his personal use after being questioned by the immigration officers.

The claim that we will be dragged to court first appeared on the front –page of the Weekend Crusading Guide. On Choice FM at noon, Asante Bediatuo repeated the threat.

Yet, by late afternoon, he was changing his song, claiming that they never said they will drag us to court over the matter; instead, they were asking us to go to court if our assertion was true.

We were really disappointed that the threat to take us to court seemed to have been withdrawn. We were really looking for it.

For the avoidance of doubt, we want to state clearly that Nana Akufo-Addo was arrested in 2006 at JFK Airport with wee which he claimed when questioned that it was for his personal use. This simple means that the man who wants to be President of Ghana smokes wee. We are repeating the statement so that Nana Asante-Bediatuo and his colleagues can drag us to court over the matter.

We are waiting with bated breath to be served by any court on this matter so that , that which is hidden, shall be made public
