New Bishop celebrates thanksgiving mass

Bolgatana (UE), July 4, GNA – Most Reverend Bishop Alfred Agyenta, the New Bishop for the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese of the Catholic Church, on Saturday said the Diocese was going through crisis of faith.

He said the problems that plagued the Diocese were real manifestations of the declining good name it had gained in the past, adding that all was not well with the church as long as its relationship with God was concerned.

Rev. Agyenta expressed worry that the Diocese has constantly been in the public domain and the media, and any time the Diocese was mentioned, it was about conflict, turbulence and polarization. The Bishop, who was delivering a sermon at a thanksgiving mass, organised in his honour, at Bolgatanga on Sunday, asked 93have we not run out of wine, when we have set aside the long-tested wisdom of the church and her traditions and had fallen in love with wisdom and values of the passing world?”.

Bishop Agyenta called on the Diocese to abide by the word of God, which serve as a lamp for 93our feet and light for their path”, and prayed that the 93Immaculate Mother Mary” lead everyone to her son Jesus. 3 July 11
