Assembly marks Republic Day with blood screening exercise

Shama (W/R), July 1, GNA – The Shama District Assembly on Friday, organized a health walk and blood screening exercise for its staff and the general public, as part of activities marking the Republic Day celebration, in Shama.

The exercise afforded the staff of the assembly and the general public to test their HIV status, check their blood pressure, weight and sugar content level.

Briefing the press about the exercise, the Shama District Coordinating Director, Mr Isaac Kwakye indicated that, the exercise had afforded the staff the opportunity to interact, as well as, fostering good working relations.

The Shama District Health Director, Dr. Amo Addae explained the various family planning methods and the correct way of wearing the female and male condoms to the general public.
