Takoradi, June 28, GNA – Members of the disbanded Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) were at the weekend prevented from attending a regional meeting of constituency chairmen and secretaries of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) at Takoradi.

The meeting, which was addressed by the National Chairman of CPP, Comrade Ladi Nylander, discussed the forthcoming national congress of the party.

This was contained in a press release issued by the Western Regional Secretariat of the CPP at Takoradi.

The release was jointly signed by Comrade G.K. Alorzuke, the Regional Secretary and Comrade S.G. Etroo, the Regional Chairman.

It said in the course of the meeting, some members of the disbanded group invaded the hall.

The release said the regional executives of the party protested the interruption and the members were sacked from the hall.

It said other members of the MSJ were granted another meeting to meet Mr Nylander.

At the meeting, the group outlined it’s program of action for the region and introduced people it wants to replace the regional executives.

Those outdoored included Mr Kwame Nkrumah, Mr Jam Kay, Mr Samuel Bartels and Mr Richard Amoako.

The release said the movement should not organize any such meeting in any constituency in the region.
