Ambassador Presents Letters Of Credence To Sultan Qaboos Of Oman

The non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary, Alhaji Abdullah Salifu, presented his Letters of Credentials to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said on Sunday 8th May 2011.

The ceremony took place at the Hisin Al Shumoukh in the Wilayat of Manah Palace outside Muscat. During a meeting with His Majesty the Sultan, H.E. Ambassador Abdullah Salifu, who is resident in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Professor John Evans Atta Mills, President of the Republic of Ghana, to the Sultan of Oman. Ambassador Salifu also conveyed H.E. President Mills’ best wishes of good health, happiness and long life to His Majesty and the Omani People.

The non-resident Ghana Ambassador expressed his honour and gratitude to present his credentials and affirmed to exert his efforts to further enhance the existing cordial relations between Ghana and the Sultanate of Oman.

His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said on his part, welcomed H.E. Abdullah Salifu and thanked H.E. Professor Atta Mills for his greetings and best wishes. He assured the Ghanaian envoy of his personal support as well as that of his government and the people of Oman during his tour of duty.
