Repetition is delayed success

Ho, June 15, GNA – Mr Ebenezer Dzikunu, Volta Regional Manager of E.P. Schools, Wednesday advised parents and guardians to allow their children to repeat their classes when need be. “Repetition is delayed success”, he said.

Mr Dzikunu said this at an emergency meeting of parents and teachers of Kabore Junior High School in Ho to discuss plans and strategies to prepare the 2012 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) class for that examination.

Mr Dzikunu advised the 2012 BECE class that time was not on their side, just nine months and must therefore adopt the BECE mentality from now.

Mr Joseph Afake, Head teacher of the School, said students who failed to meet the school’s cut-off point for the BECE would not be promoted to form three.

He said the school had a high academic record and reputation that would not be compromised.

Mr Michael Owusu, Ho-Kpodzi Circuit Supervisor urged the students to forego the video games and television drama sessions and other diversionary activities and be studious.
