Audit service to improve service in Bawku

Bawku(U/E), June 01, GNA – Mr Richard Quartey, the Director General of the Audit Service, has said the Service was putting in measures to improve service in the Bawku Municipality and other catchment areas.

He said this when he toured the municipality with eight other board members to inspect abandoned projects of the Service that includes office accommodation and to find challenges facing the Service in the area.

Mr Quartey told a meeting with assembly members and staff of the Service that the Audit Service was prepared to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate the completion of the office accommodation and other structures which had been abandoned for a long time.

He said the Service would partner the assembly to improve upon the service condition of the staff of the Audit Service in the area. Mr Quartey said the office accommodation, when completed, would house other sister departments to promote development in the area.

The Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Abdulai Musah, commended the Audit Service for its role in national development called for the support of other stakeholders for the Service.
