Two armed robbers lynched in Kumasi

Two unidentified young men suspected to be members of a gang of armed robbers have been lynched by a mob at Kumasi after an abortive daylight robbery. The robbers are reported to have made unsuccessful attempts in the past weeks to raid the house of a private medical practitioner but to no avail.

The gang who were monitoring the movement of the doctor and his family saw them going out at about 9am and took their absence as an opportunity to strike.

They managed to enter the building through a window but a woman washing in a nearby house saw them and raised an alarm. Three of the robbers managed to escape but the two were apprehended and beaten to death.
