MP for New Abirem wins party’s primaries

New Abirem, May 3 GNA – Madam Esther Obeng Dapaah, New Patriotic Party (NPP), Member of Parliament (MP) for New Abirem, was on Saturday elected to contest for the seat on NPP ticket in 2012 election. She polled 161 votes out of the 326 votes cast to defeat, Mr John Osei Frimpong, who had 95 votes, Ms Grace Omaboe 93aka Maame Dorkono” who obtained 67 votes in an election supervised by the Electoral Commission. Three ballot papers were rejected.
