Ekroful holds home coming summit

Gomoa Ekroful(C/R), April 28, GNA – Mr Theophilus Adu-Mensah, the District Chief Executive for Gomoa West, has called on politicians and traditional rulers to desist from using the youth to cause commotion and violence in the society. He said the time had come for the youth to avoid such behaviour and focus on pursuing education and other skills to enable them become self-reliant.

Mr Adu-Mensah made this known when he addressed the Home Coming Summit of the youth of Gomoa Ekroful in the Gomoa East District. He called on parents not to shirk their responsibility to cater for their children, adding that the Metropolitan Assembly had outlined programmes to facilitate their development. Mr Isaac Kingsley Ehunu-Armah, the District Chief Executive for Gomoa East, expressed regret that teenage pregnancy among school girls in the area was increasing and urged parents, teachers and other stakeholders to help reverse the trend. He said the assembly was constructing a clinic at Aboso. Mr Ekow Okyere Panyin, the Member of Parliament for Gomoa East, appealed to the chiefs to support the efforts of the youth and pledged to use his share of the common fund to undertake more projects.
