Annan commissions projects in constituency

Anweemu (C/R) April 26, GNA – Dr Joseph S. Annan, Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA), on Tuesday commissioned a A2GH 17,600 community centre at Anweemu and other projects in his constituency.

A GH¢ 13,700 lavatory at Elmina, a GH¢ 1,400 rest shed for fishermen at Elmina and a GH A21,300 bus terminal at Nkontrodu are the other projects.

The projects were funded with his share of the common fund while the communities provided communal labour.

Commissioning the projects, Dr. Annan who is also the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industries, said the facilities were in line with the government’s Better Ghana Agenda.

He appealed to the communities to take proper care of the facilities and thanked the chiefs and people of the area for their support. He later donated some canned fish, rice and cooking oil to about 160 Ivorian refugees at Komenda. 26 April 11
