Christians celebrate Jesus’ resurrection

Accra, April 25, GNA – There was bliss amidst drumming, singing and dancing at the Seraphim Evangelical Presbyterian Church to mark the resurrection of Jesus Christ, at Kaneshie in Accra on Sunday. The congregation, who clad in white and block apparel and other clothing, sung joyful hymns and danced to the glory of God. Reverend Moses Faith Nyomi-Nyamadi, delivering a sermon on the theme: 93The New Life in Christ”, said the resurrection of Christ that typified defeat over death, was victory for Christians. He said since the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, death has no authority over Christians.

Rev. Nyomi-Nyamadi said the resurrection of Jesus was a significant historical event that has given Christian the assurance of victory.

The clergyman called on Christians to use the occasion to reconcile and ensure peace for national development. He said the resurrection also 93gives hope to Christians that once Christ died and resurrected, they as mortals would resurrect on the judgment day”.

Rev. Nyomi-Nyamadi advised Ghanaians to avoid social vices and collaborate towards the attainment of progress.
