Christians should be submissive to God to receive his blessings- Pastor

Accra, April 22, GNA – Reverend Frank Teyegaga, Accra Central District Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, on Friday called on Christians to submit themselves to God and boldly get closer to Him to receive his blessings.

“Blessing will come to you when you humble yourself and do keep the word of God in truth and not disobeying His word,” he said. He made the call at a service of Good Friday on the theme: 93The Meaning of His Suffering.”

Rev Teyegaga attributed the suffering of Jesus on the cross to the behaviour of mankind that prevented the word of God to prevail. He noted that the death of Christ cancelled the curse God imposed on Adam and Eve when they disobeyed Him in the Garden of Eden. Rev Teyegaga noted that God has given Christians a new life to live again to testify his Goodness. He said death of Jesus Christ showed that he had power over death and that 93as Christians we have been raised from death and should consider it as such”.

“Those who have God will have life and with the condition that you (Christians) will obey the word of God.” Rev Teyegaga said: 93 Christians should know that the blood that Jesus shared has already forgiven us all the debt of sin we owe Him and Has made provision for us because he was the source of provider.” He said healing took place during the crucifixion of Christ because His blood cured mankind from emotional and psychological pain. Rev Teyegaga urged Christians not to be anxious about anything and rather render sacrifices to God since they have their lives in Him.

He encouraged Christians to ask for forgiveness any time they committed sin and resist from withholding their sins without confessing them. “The key to life and victory is obedience to the word of God,” Rev Teyegaga said. 22 April 11
