NPP parliamentary aspirant decries poor construction of school blocks

Akatsi, April 6, GNA – Mr Godwin Adzidogah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ave-Avenor aspiring parliamentary candidate for the 2012 elections, on Monday expressed worry about the frequent damages to school and other public building due to poor construction. He said the situation whereby school blocks get destroyed due to the least bad weather condition should stop.

Mr Adzidogah, who is a businessman, made the observation when he presented 80 roofing sheets to people and institutions that were affected by recent rainstorm at Akatsi in the Volta Region. The Demonstration Basic School, which had its roofing ripped off during the storm, received 40 roofing sheets.

Mr Adzidogah called on authorities to ensure that competent work on government projects.

He asked authorities of the Demonstration Basic School to quickly rehabilitate the building for effective teaching and learning. Mr Adzidogah appealed to the people to return the NPP to power to enable the party to continue its good works, saying the current government had failed to deliver on its promises. 06 Apr 11
