Saudi Ambassador ends duty tour

Accra, April 1, GNA – Outgoing Saudi Arabia Ambassador in Ghana, Mr Mahmoud Aggad on Friday paid a farewell courtesy call on President John Atta Mills, at the Castle, Osu.

He is leaving after a four-year-old at the end of his four-year duty tour.

“It is a pleasant stay in Ghana and I wish to extend my deepest gratitude to the President, the government and people of Ghana for the nice stay and the co-operation I received in Ghana. Mr Aggad said the economic, social and political relations between Ghana and Saudi Arabia were enhanced during his duty tour and expressed the hope that his successor would follow up with the good relations between the two nations.

Responding, President Mills expressed gratitude to Mr Aggad for the enhanced relations between Accra and Riyadh during his duty tour. President Mills expressed Ghana’s appreciation to the Saudi Kingdom for its support for Ghana, saying it had been a big benefactor to Ghana.

He extended warm greetings to the Saudi Royal Family and assured the outgoing Ambassador that the government would accord his successor maximum co-operation to build on the enhanced relations. President Mills presented a stool to Mr Aggad and piece of kente cloth to be given to his wife.
