Accra, March 23, GNA – Mr Cletus Avoka, Majority Leader, on Wednesday laid the proposed formula for sharing the district Assemblies Common Fund for the Year 2011 in Parliament. Other formulae were also laid by the various sector Ministers including the proposed formula for the distribution of subsidies to be paid to license district mutual health insurance scheme for the year 2011.
The formula for the distribution of the Ghana Education Trust Fund for the year 2011, a report of the joint Committee on Communications and Constitutional Legal and Parliamentary Affairs on the data Protection Bill 2010.
A request for waiver of output VAT Amounting to 990,000.00 in respect for the construction of the National Communication Backbone Network Project (Phase I)was also laid.
The house also adopted the report of the Committee on Poverty reduction strategy on the Annual Progress report on the Implementation of the Growth and Poverty Reduction Strategy 2006-2009 for the year 2007 and 2008.
The report of the Special Committee on the review of the 1992 constitution was also adopted. The house also looked at the second reading of the Bio safety Bill 2010.
