Nkawie (Ash), March 3, GNA – The Atwima-Nwabiagya District Director= of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has urged every Ghanaia= n to join the campaign of checking the growing indiscipline in the society. Mr Emmanuel Kofi Antwi said it should not be lost on anyone that th= e nation would not be able to achieve much progress if people remained lawless. This, he said, made it pertinent for everybody to accept to do his or her bit to ensure the promotion of acceptable behavior. Mr Antwi was speaking at a day’s education forum held by the Commission for students of the Nkawie Senior High Technical School on Thursday. “Ensuring discipline for societal development” was the theme. It was meant to help them to appreciate the need for good conduct and their civic responsibilities. Mr Antwi said cheating during examinations, indecent dressing, disregard for the law and all acts of immorality and criminality must be avoided and roundly condemned. He added that such acts were unhelpful to the growth and developmen= t of any organization or society.
Nana Asare Bediako, the District Chief Executive (DCE), advised the students to be law-abiding and to show respect for the elderly and those in authority. He said they should also have the courage to expose those who break the law in communities.
