Gomoa West MP support communities with plastic water tanks

Gomoa Ajumako (C/R), Feb 21, GNA – Mr Francis Kojo Arthur, Member of Parliament for Gomoa West, has donated plastic water tanks worth GH¢10,00= 0 and roofing sheets worth GH¢15,000 to some communities and institutions. Gomoa Ajumako, Gomoa Brebiano, Gomoa Mankessim and Gomoa Manso were th= e beneficiaries of the tanks.

Mr Arthur said the donation was an interim measure to bring some comfort to the communities confronted with the water problem. He said the government was building a water treatment plant at Gomoa Antseadze and that all water problems would be a thing of the past when the treatment plant was completed.

Mr Arthur said he had instructed the Assembly to use his share of the District Assembly Common Fund to buy plastic water tanks for other communities and urged them to exercise patience. Mr Arthur donated roofing sheets to Gomoa Senior High/Technical School at Dawurampong and Dawurampong Catholic Church building which is being rehabilitated to serve as a social centre.

He commended the Catholic Church for the numerous facilities like schools and hospitals it had provided and expressed the hope that the building would serve a good purpose for the community.
