Gomoa West MP donates cement to support communities

Gomoa Nkoransa (C/R), Jan. 23, GNA – The Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa West, Mr Francis Kojo Arthur, has donated bags of cement to some communities in his constituency to support self-help projects.

Making the donation to the people of Gomoa Nkoransa near Apam, Mr Arthur said his gesture was in appreciation of the communal spirit of the people, which had led to the initiation of a durbar ground project.

The MP said he knew he would from time to time use the durbar ground to explain government policies and programmes to the people and he assured them of further donation whenever the need arose.

Mr Arthur also donated 25 bags of cement to Gomoa Sampa for the construction of kindergarten (KG), another 50 bags to Pinanko and Also 30 bags to Osedze to support construction of their KG.

The MP again donated mats to over 60 Muslim communities to be used in their mosques for prayers.

Mr Arthur said the donations of the mats were in fulfillment of a request made by some Muslim leaders during his rounds in the constituency.

He also donated street bulbs to Techiman Olefleku and Adaa to lighten up their streets to ward off criminals.

The recipients of the items expressed gratitude to the MP for the gesture.
