Kade(E/R), Dec 29, GNA – Some 170 people are contesting the 60 electora= l area seats in the Kwaebibirem District. Of the number, only 17 are women, the Kwaebibirem District Electoral Officer, Mr Gabriel Dei, told the GNA in an interview. In the unit committee elections, 361 are in the contest in the 60 electoral areas of which 35 are women. In the district level elections Sakyikrom electoral area has only one contestant with five persons contesting Akwatia and Takyiman Ampedee electoral areas.
