Media Analyst Group of CPP endorses Samia

Tamale (N/R), Dec. 25, GNA – The Media Analyst Group of the Conventi= on People’s Party (CPP) in the Northern Region, has declared its support for the decision of Ms Samia Nkrumah to contest for the position of the Nationa= l Chairman of the party (CPP).

The group, which is an advocacy wing of the CPP said, 93We support he= r because we believe she will bring innovations to revamp the party through critical and aggressive thinking leadership”.

In a statement issued in Tamale on Friday and signed by Mr Iddisah Mumuni, its spokeperson, the Group said it endorsed Ms Samia Nkrumah becaus= e “Observation has shown that the flow of information between the leadershi= p and the rank and file is very poor, inaction and opportunism on the part of leadership cannot be spared, and more importantly creative thinking towards innovation seems to be lacking”. The statement described Ms Samia Nkrumah as a 93woman full of wisdom and willing to protect the good reputation of CPP” adding 93she is clear on what are the ideological differences between the CPP and the other parties and she will not compromise her principles for crumbs from the table of the other parties (NDC, or NPP)”.

It said Ms Samia Nkrumah, who is the sole Member of Parliament of the CPP and daughter of the late Dr Kwame Nkrumah, had demonstrated leadership skills by visiting almost all the regions of the country with the motive of organizing the youth and the party offices, adding 93we believe that the unity talks between the CPP and the People’s National Convention will succeed under her leadership”.

It expressed the view that CPP could perform creditably if the leadership was re-structured by fusing dedicated, committed and critical thinkers like Ms Samia Nkrumah. The CPP may go for national congress later next year to elect its national officers.
