Huni Valley District accounts for its stewardship

Bogoso (W/R), Dec. 23, GNA – The Prestea Huni Valley District is undertaking 38 projects within the past two years. These projects include the construction of an office complex, staff accommodation, health facilities and residencies for the District Chief executive, Coordinating Director and others.

Mr. Wisdom Robert Cudjoe, the District Chief Executive, said at a foru= m that most of the projects were funded from the Minerals Development Fund, District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), and Internally Generated Fund (IGF)= .. He said the Minerals Development Fund is funding 27 of the projects and most of them were almost at the completion stage. Alhaji Haadi, District Coordinating Director for PHDA said the assembly’s core vision was to transform the district and make it a model devoid of politics. The district was created out of the then Wassa West District Assembly in February 2008 and inaugurated in April the same year.
